In clinical trials, a label can be one of the final steps standing between an investigational drug and the patient who needs it.
AWT Healthcare’s pharmaceutical client was preparing a clinical study involving cancer medication used to treat certain types of brain tumors in children. The study involved kids and young adults with BRAF-altered pediatric low-grade glioma (pLGG). BRAF is a type of brain or spinal cord tumor that occurs primarily in children and has a genetic change affecting a protein that helps control cell growth.
With study timelines moving quickly, AWT Healthcare was tasked with producing the required clinical trial labels accurately and within a very tight timeframe to get to market as quickly as possible once the drug was approved. AWT completed and shipped the labels in July 2021, ahead of the study reaching patients in October. This rapid turnaround helped keep the clinical supply timeline on track and ensured labeling did not become a bottleneck in getting the medication to participating patients.
Our fast turnaround meant young kids with brain tumors got the treatment they needed sooner.
For clinical trials, speed matters. For over 60 years, AWT Healthcare has had industry-leading turn times that are unmatched by any competitor. When every day counts, we come through.
